Bio:

Peacetime for the warrior is a dangerous period; the senses honed by near-death escapes and the body forged in the heat of battle are ill-adapted to days of peaceful idleness and monotonous security. So, like any other being freed from the need to sleep, Takashi sought to make his dreams come true. He led his firm against an unattainable foe, attained a romance previously outside of his grasp, and explored new depths of himself through training, partying, and meditation. But in the end, it never was quite enough. So when his most hated enemy, Roth Foster of the Jehovah’s Flame sought a foothold in Japan, he eagerly pursued him.

Even as he pursues the Flame for their crimes and the Yakuza for their meddling, his mind races with thoughts never permitted by his old, calculating heart; is the Flame really wrong? Is the Yakuza irredeemable? If in the end, happiness are peace are the goal, then isn’t he, the warrior, the ultimate enemy? Is his affection and attention to Cynthia merely a means of penance for the life his mere existence took from her? Could command of the Yakuza be the ultimate way of ensuring stability among it’s warring factions? And most of all, if the Flame can bring a high enough measure of happiness and peace to the greatest quantity, then isn’t it worth any price? Justice has had a hollow ring in the time since the removal of the Cancer of Chicago, and everyone has come away with scars to some degree.
